The activities of police officers are directly related to the pursuit and detention of offenders. Often, police officers perform assigned tasks as part of a unit (group). In this regard, their ability to effectively interact with each other, both technically and tactically, is of great importance for the successful completion of the assigned task. The effectiveness of employee interaction, first of all, depends on the competent organization of the lesson and the correctly selected teaching methodology. This article examines the problem of developing skills in the use of physical force and combat techniques when interacting as part of a group or unit. Methods. In order to identify the effectiveness of the influence of the method of situational role-playing games aimed at developing the skills of using physical force in the interaction of police officers, we used methods of modeling, testing, expert assessment and the method of mathematical statistics of White's t-criterion. Results. This study presents the results of testing the effectiveness of using the method of situational role-playing games in situations of interaction during the use of physical force with students of professional training. The study was conducted on the basis of the Tyumen Institute for Advanced Training of Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. At the beginning of the experiment, representatives of the experimental and control groups showed the same level of skills in mastering combat techniques. During the pedagogical experiment, practical classes in physical training with representatives of the experimental group were conducted using typical situations, representatives of the control group studied according to a general plan. In the final testing, the results of the representatives of the experimental group exceeded the results of the representatives of the control group. The results obtained during the study indicate the high effectiveness of the method of situational role-playing games on the formation of interaction when using physical force.
