In modern conditions of state development, its reliable protection is required, both from internal and external threats, which implies the training of highly qualified employees in the field of internal affairs bodies who are able to effectively solve tasks in the field of public order protection, ready for continuous professional development, self-improvement. This is explicitly stated in the National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation. Such a specialist should be able both to predict the development of events, facts, and behavior of persons of operational interest, and to anticipate the result of his activities and, moreover, on the basis of a developed forecast, in order to solve the tasks facing the Department of Internal Affairs in combating crime, to determine the most optimal solutions. The mentioned skills are integral elements of the process of professional forecasting of a law enforcement officer. In this regard, the formation of a culture of professional forecasting is one of the main tasks in the system of professional training of employees of internal affairs bodies.
