Abstract (English):

The relevance of the study lies in the increased interest of law enforcement officers from near and far abroad, in obtaining a sought-after, competitive higher education in departmental universities of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The purpose of the study is related to the study of possible predictors of unfavorable sociocultural adaptation of foreign students in educational organizations of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the development of solutions for successfully overcoming or minimizing the identified factors. Methods. The main methods used are theoretical analysis of scientific sources, systematization and generalization, pedagogical observation, and expert method. Results. The main factors and conditions that create difficulties in the sociocultural adaptation of foreign students are comprehended and described. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the designation of the specifics of sociocultural adaptation of foreign students, based on the analysis of the socio-psychological characteristics of foreign students in the new sociocultural reality using the example of the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The practical significance lies in the fact that the identified patterns made it possible to formulate practical recommendations for overcoming the main predictors, which in turn will favor the success and effectiveness of sociocultural adaptation of foreign students in departmental educational organizations of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
