Introduction. In modern Russia, youth crime is one of the problems that require attention from the state and society to take decisive, targeted measures to prevent it. Undoubtedly, first of all, it is necessary to strive to reduce the level of juvenile delinquency, to prevent the influence of persons previously convicted in custody on juvenile suspects accused at the stage of preliminary investigation. Carefully study, when applying a preventive measure that is not conditioned by isolation from society, the peculiarities of the development and psychophysical condition of a minor suspect, accused, and the circumstances that contributed to their commission of a crime. Methods. The methodological basis of the research is dialectical, logical, systemic, as well as a number of other methods of scientific cognition: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, comparison, generalization, description. Results. The article examines the peculiarities of the psychophysical development of persons of the age of a minor, which influence the application of preventive measures to minors, the need, in order to more humane and effective ways of influencing the offender, to rethink positions regarding the system of preventive measures applied to the accused, suspects of the specified age category. The article substantiates: the underage age of the accused, the suspect acts as the main prerequisite for the exclusive application of preventive measures against such persons that do not correlate isolation from society, which reflects the humanistic orientation of criminal policy, thereby ensuring counteraction to juvenile delinquency in the future.
