The article studies the features of the psycho-physical development of persons of the age of minors that affect the application of preventive measures to minors, the need, in order to more humane and effective ways of influencing the offender, to rethink positions regarding the system of preventive measures applied to the accused, suspected of this age category. The article substantiates: the minor age of the accused, the suspect acts as the main prerequisite for the exclusive use of preventive measures against these persons that do not correlate with isolation from society, which reflects the humanistic orientation of criminal policy, thereby ensuring counteraction to juvenile delinquency in the future.
