Abstract:
The article raises the question of the need for a more complete professional orientation of the content of the academic discipline «Rhetoric», which implies the exclusion of purely philological sections from the educational program and the expansion of sections focused on the study of genres necessary in the future professional activity of cadets. At the same time, genres are necessarily described according to the same scheme in accordance with the genre model, since in this case students get the opportunity to see similarities and differences between them. Two typical ways of describing the system of genres required by a specialist are proposed. The first is that genres are grouped into groups necessary to perform certain functions of an employee. The second approach consists in a comparative description of genres that are similar in meaning.
