The article discusses the theoretical and methodological foundations for the formation of written professional communication skills by means of Internet technologies for district police officers (on the example of a foreign language). In the content of training, it is proposed to use cooperative and provocative speech strategies as a priority. Their implementation is carried out through the development of special speech tactics. The use of educational Internet resources with the previous selection and development of adequate communicative tasks makes a significant contribution to the development of cadets' cultural awareness, their written and oral communication skills, as well as motivation for learning in general. It is noted that the development of written professional communication skills is impossible without communication with native speakers, therefore the author considers the proposed innovative technologies an effective and indispensable tool in teaching a foreign language.
