The article examines the category «object of legal relationship» in relation to land real estate. The features of the legal regime of land as a natural object and natural resource, a land plot as the main object of civil legal relations, part of a land plot, a land share and a property complex - a larger object of civil legal relations, which includes a land plot are identified. It is noted that such an object of legal relations as land is exclusively of a public law nature and has little effect on the civil legal regime of land plots. A land plot as an object of civil legal relations is considered in the context of the legal regime of buildings and other real estate objects and natural resources located on it. It is concluded that it is necessary to include in Art. 6 of the Land Code of the Russian Federation such an object of land relations as a land share, taking into account the specifics of its legal regime.
