Introduction. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to understand the prerequisites and trends in the development of security publishing activities. Its purpose is a scientometric analysis of the peculiarities of the security scientific ideas formation in foreign publications. Methods. The research is based on publications with the keyword “security” from the PubMed abstract database. The analysis was implemented using VOSViewer software. Three arrays of publications on the topics of security, security psychology and psychological security have been formed and researched. Results. The first foreign publications on security date back to the end of the 18th century, on psychological security issues and on psychological security – to the early 60s of the 20th century. Their appearance was prepared by the general social context, the development of scientific knowledge and the needs of practice. These foreign publications became widespread and regular in the last decade of the 20th century. Among the publications on safety, there are studies on family safety, general social safety, animals, the elderly, the middle-aged group, children and adolescents, and drug safety. The first publications on the subject cover the features of general social security, the latest ones cover the safety of the elderly. The publications of psychologists on safety can be divided into groups on the psychology of safety in medicine, the psychology of safety of subjects at risk, the psychology of adolescent safety, the psychology of youth safety and the organisation of psychological safety research. Initially, general security issues were studied, and later the psychological aspects of security of the key problems of our time were researched. Publications on psychological safety are submitted by studies in different conditions. Medical institutions, patients in general, children, adolescents, persons of a young age and socially significant realities were thoroughly researched. Initially, the authors were interested in the conditions and factors of psychological safety in general, but now they are interested in specific situations. The importance of security issues is confirmed, as well as the organic allocation of scientific fields of security psychology and psychological safety in it. The priority of the subject is revealed, regardless of the angle of the security study.
