Abstract:
Introduction. The relevance of the study is due to the need for qualitative worldview development in the context of the information driven society and the need for national identity against the background of a cultural succession gap among young people. The problem lies in insufficient development of criteria, factors and levels of a person’s worldview culture development for its full-scale disclosure. The worldview culture, which reflects current ideas, values and norms adopted in modern society act as a vector of worldview development. The development of a personal worldview culture is a key task of pedagogy, as it forms the basis for self-realisation, citizen activism and successful adaptation of a person in the modern world. A person’s worldview, reflecting his inner world and reality perception on the emotional and rational-theoretical levels, forms the personal worldview culture as a synthesis of scientific and spiritual experience, defined by the level of development of science, education and society. Science and education have always been fundamentals in this culture shaping, and their role has grown especially in today’s world, where innovation is actively transshaping the social and cultural spheres. Methods. Theoretical methods are used in the research: criteria determination, specification of development factors and definition of development levels. Cognitive, axiological, active and communicative criteria are brought out, each of them includes specific indicators. Pedagogical, socio-cultural, personal-psychological and pragmatist factors that influence the development of a worldview culture are highlighted. Levels of the worldview culture development of personality are defined: elementary, optimal and high, each of them is characterised by an appropriate combination of indicators according to the determined criteria. Results. The authorial definition of the worldview culture of the person as an integrative quality, characterised by a systemic comprehension of the world, formedness of value orientations, capability to critical analysis and constructive dialogue, as well as a willingness to conscious transformation of reality is represented. Tables with detailed description of criteria, factors and levels of development of the person’s worldview culture are presented.
