Abstract (English):
Introduction. The significant expansion of the functional purpose of unmanned aerial systems in various areas of their application, caused, in particular, by the change in the geopolitical situation, causes the need to study these high-tech products and the circumstances of their use as tools and means of committing crimes. The study of the materials of investigative and expert practice accumulated within the framework of work at the sites of criminal use of unmanned aerial vehicles allows us to speak about their significant species diversity, which necessitates the systematization of their design and technological features for the typification of the rules for working with them in the field and laboratory conditions. Methods. In the course of the study, the results of which are reflected in this article, the following were used: the general dialectical method of cognition, methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization and modeling. Results. The article presents the author's classification of the grounds for differentiating unmanned aerial vehicles used by illegal armed groups in committing sabotage and terrorist crimes on the territory of the Russian Federation. This classification can be used as a reference basis for the development of an information retrieval system that would be intended to identify unmanned aerial vehicles used as means and instruments for sabotage and terrorist crimes.
