Abstract and keywords

Abstract:
The article presents some results of a study of the activities of the visiting heads - special officials who took part in ensuring public order and combating crime in Moscow in the 16th-17th centuries. The authors analyzed the normative legal acts that served as the basis for the formation of unified organizational principles of management in the field of combating crime and protecting public order. The article is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Moscow police, which was celebrated in 2022.
