The article examines the essence and main elements of organizing interaction during the investigation of crimes by preliminary investigation authorities as a specific type of law enforcement activity, in which the organization of interaction is one of the management elements. The structural and functional features of the organization of such interaction are revealed. It is concluded that the organization of interaction in the investigation of crimes is a specific type of management activity, the essence of which is the implementation by the subject of management of functions aimed at optimizing the forms and methods of interaction of all its subjects, streamlining static and dynamic relationships, effective and rational use of forces and funds of the interacting parties.
