The article discusses methodological approaches to studying the state of crime in the field of information and telecommunications from the point of view of various sciences (economic theory, criminology, etc.). Correlation analysis was used to study remote theft of funds in the Russian Federation based on objective and subjective factors, divided into seven subgroups by spheres of influence. Based on the data obtained, conclusions are formulated about the nature of the influence of the analyzed factors on the level of criminalization of contactless financial and credit transactions.
