The article examines trends in changes in quantitative indicators characterizing persons who have committed crimes. Based on the results of studying information about criminals obtained from official sources, the degree of influence of the transformation of relationships in society, including the revision of traditional values and ways of achieving goals, on the personality of the criminal and crime in general was established. The author comes to the conclusion that the most noticeable change in the value orientations of society affects the behavior of women. An increase in the proportion of women in the structure of persons who have committed crimes negatively characterizes the dynamics of the state's social policy. The study of the personality structure of a female criminal made it possible to formulate her average portrait, which is a necessary condition for the development of effective crime prevention measures in general.
