Annotation. Introduction. The study, the results of which are presented in the article, was devoted to the essence of a corrupt conspiracy underlying joint corrupt activity. The features of a corruption conspiracy are analyzed, including the specific composition of subjects with the obligatory participation of a special subject, the specifics of the subject of the agreement related to the illegal receipt of material and non-material benefits, as well as the nature of the benefit itself. The importance of collusion in the formation of stable corrupt ties that ensure the coordination of actions and the unity of criminal intent of accomplices is emphasized. The introduction of the term «corruption conspiracy» into scientific circulation is substantiated. Methods. To achieve the goal of the study, a dialectical method of cognition of the surrounding reality was used, presupposing a full and comprehensive study of phenomena, consideration of the connections and contradictions between them. In addition, the comparative method, general scientific (analysis, synthesis, deduction) and specific scientific methods were used. Results. The author concludes that a corruption conspiracy is not simply an agreement to jointly commit a crime, but a qualitatively different, more complex type of criminal conspiracy. In this case, the conspiracy acts not only as a legal fact binding the participants, but also as a key element shaping the structure of corruption relations and determining the specifics of their functioning. Its uniqueness is manifested in a number of characteristic features: corruption conspiracy may not result in complicity in a crime in the classical legal sense; it may be implicit; it may be carried out in the form of direct or indirect instructions; the subject of the agreement in a corruption conspiracy is actions (or inactions) aimed at obtaining an illegitimate benefit by the interested parties. Based on the results of the study, the author formulated her own definition of the term «corruption conspiracy».
