The article presents some results of the study, the purpose of which was to study the effect of collimator and mechanical sights on the indicators of speed and accuracy in firing of employees of law enforcement agencies in conditions requiring rapid response. In the course of pedagogical testing, specially designed test exercises were used, reflecting in their content the specifics of the professional activities of law enforcement officers. The results obtained made it possible to identify and compare the qualitative indicators of the manifestation of the speed and accuracy of shooters using various types of sights, in conditions requiring the manifestation of speed of reaction, and to draw practical-oriented conclusions on their basis.
