Introduction. The serious consequences of the commission of corruption crimes, the globalization of society and crime, migration processes have led to increased international cooperation in the investigation of both corruption and ordinary crimes. At the same time, scientists and law enforcement officials have noted a sharp decrease in the effectiveness of international cooperation in investigating crimes due to the current political situation in the world and the long deadlines for fulfilling requests for legal assistance. Research methods. The study was conducted in accordance with the general scientific principle of objectivity and using the formal legal method, methods of abstraction, interviewing and questioning, statistical method, generalization and general logical methods. Conclusions. The current political situation in the world, long deadlines for fulfilling international requests have led to the further development of informal international cooperation in the fight against crime and the emergence in 2023 of a new effective way to obtain information for the disclosure and investigation of crimes through the Global Network of Law Enforcement Agencies to Combat Corruption (GlobENetwork). At the same time, the legal significance of the information received requires clarification by conducting additional scientific research and special attention to this issue by the Russian legislator.
